Ladbrokes
Company information and history
Ladbrokes Casino is
the online casino branch of Ladbrokes, one of the oldest and biggest bookmakers in
the UK. Ladbrokes is a public company listed on the
London Stock Exchange.
Named after Ladbroke Hall in Worcestershire, Ladbrokes was officially founded over a hundred years ago in 1902, although the
company's origins go back as far as 1886 - you can read their interesting background on the
history page of the Ladbrokes corporate site, where all other pertinent
information about them is
located.
License
Ladbrokes is licensed by the
Gibraltar Regulatory Authority.
Software and games
The casino uses
Microgaming software. There are both download and and instant play
versions available. The
single deck blackjack game is available on both versions,
but
All Aces video poker is only available on the download software.
Reliability
To the best of my knowledge, Ladbrokes has never been the subject of a valid complaint of non-payment of winnings. They pay
quickly, within about six hours.
Customer support
I've read complaints about Ladbrokes's customer support, but in my experience it's good. Phone support is efficient and
consistent, and the phone number and email address are prominently displayed.
The UK freephone number is:
0800 032 1133
From other countries, the number is:
+350 200 43003
Comps
Ladbrokes has a straightforward comp point programme:
COMPS |
As a Ladbrokes Casino customer you can collect complementary points on your game play and convert them into instant cash.
When you play Ladbrokes Casino, every £10 turnover adds 1 point to your comp points balance.
All stakes on our download, instant play or mobile/tablet casino games count towards your comp point balance with the exception of live casino games.
The rate is:
100 Comp Points = £1
To check your Comp Point balance at any time, simply click “Casino account”.

Bonuses
Ladbrokes offers a 100% welcome bonus on deposits ranging from £20 right up to £500, and once received you need to wager both deposit and bonus twenty times.
As such, a £100 deposti with a £100 bonus will require wagers totalling £4000 in order to be able to withdraw.
The bonus amount is
non-redeemable -
they will remove it upon cashout. As such, if you cash in £500 after receiving a £100 bonus on your £100 deposit, the £100 bonus amount will be removed and
you will receive £400.
The game weightings are as follows:
Games | Game Weight Distribution |
All games not listed below Slots (all varieties) Scratch Cards (all varieties) | 100% |
Pai Gow (all varieties) Red Dog Let it Ride | 25% |
Casino Hold'Em (all varieties) Roulette (all varieties including Wild Vikings) Baccarat (all varieties)
Blackjack (all varieties excluding Blackjack switch) Blackjack surrender & Pontoon) Stravaganza Craps (all varieties)
Sic Bo (all varieties) | 20% |
Video Poker (all varieties) Darts Heads or tails Spin a win Dice Twister Wheel of Light | 10% |
All double options on slots & video poker (all varieties) | 0% |
They also seperately list the following games as contributing 0%:
• 3D Roulette Premium
• BW-European Roulett
• Mini Roulette (GTS)
• Multi Wheel Roulette
• Pinball Roulette
• Premier Roulette
• Roulette Tournament
• Video Roulette
When a game is listed as counting “0%”, my advice is
avoid playing it at all - it can lead to problems if and when you come to cash in.
Ladbrokes lists some further restrictions in the section under “promotional abuse” - if you take a bonus from them you need to read this section
carefully, and I highlight the the most important clauses below:
PROMOTIONAL ABUSE |
Ladbrokes Casino reserve the right to review transaction records and logs from time to time, for any reason whatsoever. If, upon
such a review, it appears that a customer is participating in strategies that Ladbrokes management, in its sole discretion deems to be abusive, Ladbrokes
reserves the right to revoke the entitlement of such a customer to any promotion. |
If a player has an active bonus and wins more than twice the value of the bonus amount, they must stay playing in a game of similar
or equal weighting until wagering has been completed. Moving from low weighted games like Blackjack, to high weighted games like slots, after a large win,
for the sole purpose of completing wagering requirements, will result in the bonus and any winnings being removed. |
To further protect Ladbrokes from the prospect of Promotion Abuse, customers must not:
(i) Bet more than 30% of the bonus amount in a single bet or game round on any of Ladbrokes Casino games for the duration of
the bonus
(ii) For the duration of any new player bonus, place bets in any single bet or game round which is greater than 30% of the
bonus amount or higher than £50 or currency equivalent, calculated in accordance with the rates set out in section 12 of these General Terms and Conditions.
|
To sum up the restrictions: with an active bonus, do not:
• Bet more than 30% of the bonus or make any bet greater than £50.
• Jump between games in different categories in the game weight distribution chart.
Overall rating
Your money is as safe with Ladbrokes as it is anywhere.
I rate them at 9 out of 10.
